African and African-American Sky Tales

The people of Africa have long had their own unique views about the night sky and objects in it. This program looks at stories about how the Sun and Moon came to be in the sky, why the Sun is the brighter of the two, and how people got fire from the sky. Learn how Africans, transported to this continent via the slave trade, brought their stories with them.
